Cerâmica | Pottery

Alô! Agora o segundo motivo que me fez vir aqui blogar.

Hello there, here you have the second reason that brought me back to the blog. My first two pieces of ceramic are done. They were made using the ancient technique called Pinch. I felt great by doing them, although they are just the beggining of a new process in my career. I haven't named them yet, but I will find a name to them soon. Those ones are not for sell, sorry that, lol, they are now part of little own personal collection, but hopefully soon I will be able to be doing great things to my clients and my new clients as well. Before that all I need is to be practicing an learning more about this and other techniques as well. The result of this new adventure I will be showing you as far as the pieces are done.

A azul, onde trabalhei e alisei bem a parte externa, criando um shape não muito "certinho" e mantive o interior com as características dos toques dos meus dedos, mais rústico;

Over the blue one, I have done a very good treatment to the external part, although giving it a non "tidy" shape with the interior being kept with my fingers marks, and...

The "earthy" one where I kept all the rusticity of the process leaving some of the audacity when it came to enameling where I used two distint colours in order to create the third one. Which one you liked the most?

Franz Weissmann

Vale a pena conferir. A expoisção segue até 3 de dezembro.

After a while I came back to posting. Not that I meant I will be posting everyday, unfortunally it is not possible right now, but two distint things forced me to do that, which is great. The first one was an exhibition I have seen recently. Franz Weissmann was a sculptor based in Rio since his age of six when he and his family came from Austria. So I can say he was a brazilian sculptor, who was best know as "The Sculptor of the Void". There are around 70 pieces of his work exposed at Pinakotheke, in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro. I must say it is worth seeing, so if you are around just go there. The exhibition runs until December 3th.
